The Ford of Europe Order Fulfilment Operations team are the face of the European and Export Markets to all EU Production Sources, the MP&L team, and of the EU Markets to non-EU Production Sources e.g. Ranger from Silverton, Mustang Mach E from Mexico. Key responsibilities are to ensure vehicle supply is matched to demand across the EU region, Company Owned Inventory turns quickly and efficiently and the benefits of Lean OTD are realised.
Ordering
Responsible for Order Bank management, raising central orders in the optimum best seller mix, facilitating high match of customer demand to pipeline orders, and determining a healthy mix of stock in distribution compounds as bestsellers to facilitate short customer lead times between order and delivery
Ensure orders are aligned to best-selling forecast mixes, and are always available when required by Production Scheduling teams to ensure stability of supplier releases, plant schedule and minimise customer delivery times
Monitor daily inventory & manage volume refill based on agreed rules. Place, amend and cancel orders
Ensure Markets & Brand Teams are kept up to date with latest scheduling information including production changes, constraints
Coordinate MP1 Programs, make sure that MP1 orders are created in time, and aligned to specifications requested by plant/brand/NSCs.
Process alignment & operations
- Manage operational scheduling meetings
- Collect and communicate scheduling priorities in cooperation with Brand Teams:
Monitor scheduling activity – advise what to commit
Manage prioritization of production (ageing sold orders, other requests)
- Manage Model Year changes with special focus on run-out or new features
- Maintain fleet ordering and contract amendment templates
- Actively cooperate in process improvements regarding central ordering
Logistics & Trading
Support Cross Market Trade and In Market Trade via VISTA (EU ordering system) XMT tool
Support, problem solving
Develop, maintain and distribute Order Bank and Order Fulfilment reports, i.e. Order Bank vs. allocation reporting, scheduling reports, daily order bank reports, ad-hoc reports
Support markets with query resolution related to units stuck in production, any logistics or other related issues
Qualification and experience:
University/College degree (logistics, business, economics, IT, engineering is advantage)
2-4 years relevant experience
Strong analytical skills: applicants should be comfortable working with numbers and confident in explaining analysis and proposals to members of the Management team
Good communication and relationship building skills: the job holder will need to be able to communicate issues and analysis with clarity and confidence and remain calm under pressure
Systemic Thinking
Good understanding of the Sales, Services and Marketing functions and processes
Ability to multitask, good time management skills, attention to deadlines
Creative, problem-solving personality with a „can do” and proactive attitude
Holistic business and task view
Knowledge of Order Management/Sales Reporting IT systems would be advantageous but not essential
Skills:
Excel and Power Point (essential); applicants should be confident to use and develop Excel spreadsheets
Fluency in English: high standard of written and verbal communication is essential
