While volunteering at the Gleaners Community Food Bank, Ford software engineer Shanikia brainstormed ways to streamline the process. She designed a mobile conveyor belt system that doubled their food distribution rate and her system is now being rolled out at sites across Michigan.
For nearly 20 years, Will has volunteered his financial expertise with the Accounting Aid Society to help Detroit-area residents in need to file their taxes. Each year, the finance senior manager and his team of Ford Finance volunteers make a roughly $1M impact securing refunds and tax-preparation savings for local families.
Ford test planner Tonishia has volunteered over 20 years with the Ford Volunteer Corps. Most recently, the Detroit native joined Team Rubicon to help local families recover from devastating floods and make homes livable again.
