Ford Central and Eastern European Sales LLC is looking for a Lead Technical Program Specialist - EU CO2 Data & Delivery in our Budapest XIII. Váci Greens office.
The Lead Technical Program Specialist - EU CO2 Data & Delivery will lead PDO (Product Driven Organization) teams in building solutions and data products. This role bridges the gap between business requirements, complex data streams, and actionable AI/analytical solutions. The role spans the full project lifecycle—from backlog grooming and agile coordination to technical delivery and operational deployment. You will work end-to-end with Product Managers, business managers, data engineers, software developers, and data scientists to deliver critical products that power business operations and evidence-based decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
• Coordinate with the Product Manager and multi-skillset team members to develop holistic product delivery plans, ensuring on-time, high-quality launches.
• Manage delivery plans for complex, high-impact technical projects. Work closely with development teams to ensure products are built to specifications and drive the adoption of software engineering tools, including CI/CD and production launches.
• Deep dive into complex technical issues to understand root causes, evaluate trade-offs, and propose analytical solutions. Identify technical hurdles and manage delivery risks appropriately.
• Drive continuous improvement of the team's operational model by aligning work and capacity. Track metrics to analyze product delivery performance and continuously drive workflow improvements.
• Lead and facilitate all product line agile ceremonies, ensuring compliance with program management processes. Implement team-level standards for Jira usage, automation, backlog grooming, and dependency management.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and interdependencies. Establish clear escalation paths for team blockers.
• Author and maintain robust project documentation, including technical roadmaps, dependency maps, and user stories, ensuring data integrity for accurate reporting.
• Support team members in effective collaboration and agile facilitation, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce technical overhead.
• Serve as the primary contact for team project communications, explaining complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline (Master's preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in program/product management methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and their practical application.
• 2+ years of experience using project management tools, specifically Jira, for tracking, reporting, and dependency management.
• Technical ability to deep-dive into data issues to understand root causes, evaluate trade-offs, and propose operational solutions.
• A solid understanding of data ecosystems, integration points, and cloud-native environments (GCP).
• Proven experience in leading backlog grooming for technical products.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in an environment where problems are not always well-defined.
Preferred requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in program/product management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) and their practical application.
• 3+ years of experience in managing cloud-native, analytics, or big data products.
• Hands-on experience with Jira configuration, automation, and reporting to support sprint operations.
• Experience tracking delivery for projects utilizing CI/CD pipelines and modern GitHub workflows.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI) to communicate product insights.
• Ability to quickly develop technical depth in new technologies to highlight delivery risks effectively.
• Well-organized, self-starter, and capable of working with minimal supervision in a global team setup.
• Inquisitive, proactive, and interested in learning new tools to drive the adoption of best practices.
• Work experience in the automotive industry and/or regulatory compliance analytics is a plus.
• Fluent English knowledge
What we offer:
• Being part of a fully supportive, collaborative, and dynamic team
• Working in an environmentally friendly and well-equipped office in the XIII. district of Budapest
• Hybrid working model - 4 office days required
