As an Associate Engineer, you will be part of the Global Engineering team, reporting to the CAD Manager. You will support vehicle development programs by performing design verification, virtual validation, and engineering release activities for electrical wiring harness systems.

The role involves assessing CAD data, validating Bills of Materials (BOMs), conducting virtual vehicle reviews, identifying design issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance with engineering standards. You will work with industry-standard design and visualization tools while supporting major product development milestones and release activities

  • Perform design verification and validation activities for electrical wiring harness components and assemblies.
  • Conduct virtual vehicle assessments using CAD and visualization tools.
  • Review and validate engineering BOMs, design data, and release documentation.
  • Identify design issues, create markups, and coordinate resolution with relevant engineering teams.
  • Support product development gateways and milestone deliverables.
  • Ensure engineering release activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, suppliers, vehicle architecture teams, and CAD integration teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Verify that released parts meet engineering design standards, quality requirements, and program objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and engineering automation efforts.

        Maintain compliance with global engineering processes and product development requirements.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in automotive product development, engineering design validation, CAD integration, or related activities.
  • Experience working with vehicle systems or development is preferred.
  • Exposure to engineering release processes, design validation, or product lifecycle management systems is advantageous.
  • Experience within a global automotive environment is preferred.

CAD & Visualization

  • CATIA V5
  • Vis-Mockup (preferred)
  • 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX)

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

  • Teamcenter or equivalent PLM platform
  • Understanding of engineering BOM structures and change management processes

Engineering Knowledge

  • Vehicle systems and architecture
  • design principles

  • Design verification and validation methodologies

  • FMEA fundamentals
