Exterior and Structural Systems Engineer

• Engineering delivery and Project Management of Body Exterior Systems like BIW Sheetmetal, Glass, Static sealing etc..  across multiple programs to ensure quality, on-time and on-cost delivery to GPDS as per program scope.
• Ensure robust delivery of systems through the physical build phases (Verification Prototypes through Mass Production start and into ongoing production).
• Own the PD elements of the APQP process and ensure proper communication of Special Characteristics.
• Not only to Lead Launch Suppliers & Plants but down to localization & follow-on Launches.
• Own the interface between Purchasing, Finance, CAD, Functional Teams, Attributes, Studio, Supplier and Manufacturing.
• Deliver design compatibility between all interfacing systems and adhere to corporate design standards.
• Ensure Prevent Recurrence and lessons learnt are feedback into the Core Team to enhance corporate knowledge base.
• Support / lead cost reduction from idea generation to final implementation.
• Support as subject matter expert as per business need/program scope.

• Hands on Design and Release Experience in Sheet metal (or) Fixed Glass (or) Static sealing and worked closely with cross functional teams 
• Package and/or CAD (CATIA V5 / TCE / VisMockup) experience is essential.
• Able to successfully bring cross functional team together across different cultures & time zones to ensure repeated delivery of your own & shared objectives.

• Knowledge with Automotive design processes / Systems engineering 
• Excellent project management skills to work with the team(s) to meet targets and objectives on time

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Production/Automobile) or equivalent
