As a Program Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities across product development programmes, ensuring alignment between design, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and business objectives.
You will drive programme execution from planning through launch, managing risks, technical reviews, resource planning, and governance activities. The role requires strong technical understanding, programme leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving abilities.
The ideal candidate can balance engineering detail with programme-level decision making while operating effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Programme Planning & Execution
- Develop engineering workstream plans aligned with programme objectives.
- Define milestones, resource plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Support execution of global and regional engineering programmes.
- Lead technical readiness reviews and stage-gate activities.
Technical Governance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and processes.
- Support configuration management and design control practices.
- Lead risk assessments and engineering reviews.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions when issues are identified.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, IT, and Finance teams.
- Communicate programme status, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
- Collaborate with suppliers and external partners when required.
Risk & Change Management
- Maintain programme risk registers and mitigation plans.
- Manage engineering changes and change-control processes.
- Monitor scope and prevent uncontrolled programme expansion.
Cost, Schedule & Resource Management
- Track programme progress against approved plans.
- Support resource forecasting and budget monitoring.
- Drive value optimisation and cost-conscious engineering decisions.
Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Develop programme metrics and performance dashboards.
- Analyse programme performance data and trends.
- Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives.
People Development
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Support capability development and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive engineering culture.
Safety & Sustainability
- Integrate Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and sustainability principles into programme decisions.
- Support achievement of regulatory and compliance requirements.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in engineering, product development, manufacturing, project management, or programme management environments.
Technical Skills
- Understanding of engineering product development processes.
- Knowledge of risk management and change control practices.
- Familiarity with design reviews and stage-gate processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience using project tracking and reporting tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
