Responsibilities List – Material Flow Engineering Trainee (Entry Level)
1. Packaging (support)
Assist with the initial review of 1271 forms (verify completeness) before passing them to the Engineer for approval.
Help track the maintenance and repair status of Ford-owned containers.
Support physical counts and inventory records of the container fleet.
Document quality findings related to dunnage/packaging (support on ICA/PCA reports, without closing the case).
Assist in completing packaging audit checklists (MCRP).
2. Material Flow (support)
Help keep the PFEP (Plan For Every Part) updated (data entry, basic validation of information).
Assist in updating layouts for MP&L areas (Market, Re-Package, Kitting) under supervision.
Participate in meetings and continuous improvement (Lean/5S) activities, documenting agreements and following up on simple action items.
Support the collection of information for cost studies and capital projects (without preparing the final analysis).
Provide basic follow-up on industrial vehicle inspection compliance (IVECS).
3. Cost (administrative support)
Assist with capturing and tracking requisitions/purchase orders.
Help follow up on balances and validity periods of open purchase orders.
Support the review of invoices before sending them for approval.
4. PMHV (support)
Assist in recording and tracking basic KPIs (availability, MTTR, MTBF).
Help manage spare crib inventory.
Document incidents and follow up on simple corrective actions.
5. Innovation (participation)
Participate in 5S's and continuous improvement activities for the area.
Support data collection for digitalization/automation projects.
Attend as an observer/support member of the Innovation Council.
6. Daily / Administrative Activities
Prepare daily activity log.
Attend Start of Investigation (SOI) meetings and team manpower meetings.
Assist in completing digital 3040 forms (equipment transfer to maintenance).
What you´ll need:
Active student from any of the last 2 semesters of Engineering (Mechatronic, Mechanic, Innovation and Development, Robotics and Intelligent systems, Industrial, Material Planning and Logistics, etc…)
90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
Strong analytical and communication skills
