As an MPE Ford Champ, you will be responsible of supporting the Maintenance and Plant Engineering TEAM
What you´ll do:
Responsibilities List – Plant Engineering Trainee (Entry Level)
1. Facilities Maintenance (support)
Assist with the initial review of preventive and predictive maintenance job plans of the department in order to ensure KPI follow up
Help track the maintenance and repair status of facilities equipment.
Support with GEMBA in floor detecting opportunities to improve
Use AI tools in order to enhance preventive and predictive tools
Participate in meetings and continuous improvement (Lean/5S) activities, documenting agreements and following up on simple action items.
Support the collection of information for cost studies and capital projects (without preparing the final analysis).
2. Energy & Layout (support)
Help keep implementing AI Tools for energy consumption monitoring
Support to energy consumption trends daily, weekly and monthly
Provide basic follow-up on measurements for consumption.
Help to document and update plant layout along with Plant Architect
3. Cost (administrative support)
Assist with capturing and tracking requisitions/purchase orders.
Help follow up on balances and validity periods of open purchase orders.
Support the review of invoices before sending them for approval.
4. Tool Room & PMVH (support)
Assist in recording and tracking basic KPIs (availability, MTTR, MTBF).
Help manage spare crib inventory.
Document incidents and follow up on simple corrective actions.
5. Innovation (participation)
Participate in 5S's and continuous improvement activities for the area.
Support data collection for digitalization/automation projects.
6. Daily / Administrative Activities
Assist to ZCC, DCC and BCC for MPE tasks.
Participate in POKAR follow up tasks.
Assist to meetings with MPE stakeholders such as production areas or services areas.
Requirements
Active student from any of the last 2 semesters of Engineering (Mechatronic, Mechanic, Innovation and Development, Robotics and Intelligent systems, Industrial, Material Planning and Logistics, etc…)
90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
Strong analytical and communication skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Materials/Metallurgy, Mechatronics, or a related field).
Languages
Fluent English (B2/C1 level equivalent), with excellent technical communication, reading, and writing skills.
Technical Knowledge
Facilities Equipment: In-depth understanding of compressors, chillers, cooling towers, mechanics, drawings.
AI Tools: Proficiency with AI tools in order to automate facilities tasks.
Soft Skills
Analytical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
Leadership, proactivity, and a results-driven mindset.
Strong communication and technical writing skills.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
