In this position... 

The Human Resources Business Advisor (HRBA) serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders while also owning the Total Rewards agenda for the organization. This is a dual-scope role: the successful candidate will act as a strategic HR partner embedded in the business — driving people development, talent management, organizational design, retention, employee relations, and change management — while simultaneously managing compensation, benefits, and recognition programs to ensure Ford Credit Mexico remains competitive and compliant in the local market.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with deep HR technical expertise, is comfortable operating in ambiguity, and can translate business strategy into actionable people strategies that drive engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness. 

Strategic HR Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to business leaders, aligning HR strategy with business objectives and financial/operational goals.
  • Influence leadership decisions from a strategic HR standpoint, bringing data-driven insights and organizational perspective to business discussions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all people-related matters within assigned client groups.

People Development & Talent Reviews

  • Lead and facilitate talent review and succession planning processes, identifying high-potential employees and critical roles.
  • Design and implement development plans, career pathing frameworks, and individual growth strategies aligned with business needs.
  • Partner with leaders to build a strong leadership pipeline and support capability-building across the organization.

Organizational Design

  • Assess organizational structures and recommend design changes to improve efficiency, agility, and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Lead workforce planning efforts, including headcount planning, role definition, and span of control analysis.
  • Support restructuring initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal business disruption.

Retention Strategy

  • Develop and execute retention strategies tailored to key talent segments, using data and analytics to identify attrition risks.
  • Conduct stay interviews, exit interview analysis, and engagement survey follow-up to inform retention action plans.
  • Partner with Total Rewards initiatives to ensure competitive positioning that supports retention goals.

Employee Relations

  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling, ensuring compliance with Mexican labor law (LFT) and company policy.
  • Coach managers on performance management, difficult conversations, and conflict resolution.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate employee relations risks through climate assessments and trend analysis.

Change Management

  • Lead and support change management initiatives related to restructures, process improvements, system implementations, and cultural transformation.
  • Develop communication and engagement plans to support change adoption across the organization.
  • Build change readiness and resilience within client groups.

Total Rewards

  • Own the design, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs for Ford Credit Mexico, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking, market pricing, and participate in compensation surveys to inform pay strategy.
  • Manage annual compensation cycles (merit increases, bonus programs, promotions) in partnership with global/regional Total Rewards teams.
  • Partner with Finance to manage HR budget related to compensation and benefits.
  • Design recognition programs that reinforce desired culture and performance behaviors.

Knowledge / Experience and Required Competencies:

  • Business / Administration Bachelor’s Degree, Labor Law, Human Resources, Psychology.
  • Compensation and Benefits background / knowledge
  • Advanced English
  • Feedback, Coaching and Mentoring experience

  • Work Mode & Location: Ability to work in a Hybrid model, with the flexibility to work at Global Technology and Business Center (GTBC) in Naucalpan, Mexico. This is a temporary cover vacancy.
