By joining our team, you will support the end-to-end execution of capacity studies to ensure the North American supply base can meet vehicle and powertrain production requirements. As a Champ, you will be exposed to Ford’s cross-functional teams and the supply base as well as learning about technical accuracy of capacity data and the timely implementation of containment actions to mitigate production risks.
As a Supply Chain Capacity Planning Champ, you’ll learn how Ford assesses supplier capacity and supports production needs. You’ll work alongside experienced Buyers and Supply Chain leaders, helping with analysis, coordination, documentation, and follow-up.
- Data Analysis: Help collect and organize supplier responses for studies, review data, and flag potential gaps or constraints.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in day-to-day coordination with Supply Chain Buyers, Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), MP&L, Finance, Cost Estimating, and Global Vendor Tooling (GVT). Help gather information and document follow-up actions.
- Support funding approvals: Help prepare and organize materials for the approval boards. Check that supporting information is complete and follow established procedures.
- Learn constraint-resolution processes: Help identify possible supply bottlenecks and document potential mitigation options.
- Education: Active student from any of the last 2 semesters of a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering or Business. Strong written and spoken English for collaboration across the North American region.
- Project coordination: Able to organize tasks, keep track of due dates, and follow up on assigned actions.
- Analytical and detail-oriented: Comfortable working with data, checking information for completeness, and asking questions when something appears inconsistent.
- Adaptability and learning mindset: Open to changing priorities, able to work through unfamiliar tasks, and willing to take initiative while knowing when to ask for help.
Preferred qualifications
- Coursework, projects, internships, or other experience related to supply chain, purchasing, manufacturing, business, or program management.
Interested in learning about purchasing, supplier operations, production planning, and manufacturing.
