By joining our team, you will sit at the intersection of a massive technology and sourcing transformation, helping our team shift from traditional supplier-owned designs to innovative, Ford-owned architectures across a variety of vehicle commodities. As a Champ, you will learn the ropes of strategic sourcing, cost analytics, and risk management while actively contributing to real-world projects. What You’ll Do (Job Responsibilities)

As a Supply Chain Champ, you will shadow, support, and learn from experienced Buyers and Supply Chain leaders. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Supporting Strategic Sourcing: Assist the team in sourcing various overhead systems and lighting components for upcoming vehicle programs, ensuring they hit target costs, timelines, and quality standards.

• Driving Cost Analytics: Dive into the data! Help us conduct part-cost breakdowns, build "Should Cost" models, and identify areas where we can save money and improve efficiency.

• Supply Chain Mapping & Risk Mitigation: Play detective by helping us map out our sub-tier supply chain (where our suppliers get their materials, like plastics, LED chips, and microcontrollers). You'll help track geopolitical trends and identify ways to diversify our supply base.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: You won’t just sit in a silo. You will collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Product Design teams to understand how complex overhead systems and advanced vehicle lighting go from a studio sketch to a finished product on the assembly line.

• Hands-On Manufacturing Learning: Partner with team members to learn how supplier manufacturing lines work (such as injection molding, tooling, and electronics assembly) and help prepare data for physical supplier visits and negotiations.

What You Need (Job Qualifications)

• Education: Active student from any of the last 2 semesters of a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial) or Business (Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics).

• Data Savvy: Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel. You enjoy looking at numbers and figuring out the story they tell. Familiarity with data visualization or cost-modeling concepts would be desired. 

• Curiosity & Drive: A strong interest in how things are made, how much they cost, and how they get from Point A to Point B.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (also in English). You aren't afraid to ask questions, share your ideas, and collaborate with diverse teams.

• Resilience: A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Bonus Points If You Have (Desired, but not required):

• Previous coursework, projects, or club experience related to procurement, negotiations, or manufacturing.

• A passion for automotive technology, electronics, or the electric vehicle revolution.
