IMG VME Stamping Controls Engineer

- Ensure adherence and compliance to the Ford Production System (FPS)
- Understand and consistently apply standard manufacturing operating systems and principles
- Enforce compliance with Safety Operating System practices to achieve zero injuries
- Ensure compliance with Quality Operating System to achieve zero defects
- Use Andon data to prioritize efforts to achieve 100% flow
- Identify Controls best practice; launch enablers Training and Change control.
- Liaison with IT on IT / Controls interface issues
- Drawing approvals and updates, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical.
- Monitor use of structured software specifications, organize training for OEM’s as required
- Issue resolution during machine builds and installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production related downtime. (i.e. PLC programs, HMI Screens, etc)
- Set-up and maintenance of industrial bar code scanners and printers
- Run off equipment per Ford specifications at supplier and plant to validate capability and robustness including safety.
- Ensure production systems meet objectives through R&M, Process design and FMEA’s
- Work with Plant and manufacturing engineering personnel with appropriate timing and installation documentation, to ensure efficient / timely installation and validation.
- Capability to use software to solve manufacturing problems the users are facing
- Ensure the identification and capture of lessons learned along with their application to new programs, as well as the impact to existing strategies and standards
- Troubleshoot PLC, Robot, and other Automation problems
- Update program backups for Automation
- Program new installations of vision, fastening, dispense, leak test, electrical test, gantry and conveyor systems
- Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements
- Flexibility to work in both Ford Manufacturing plant (FTM) and AAT
- Able to travel to support IMG plants within the region as require/assign.

- Bachelor’s degree of Engineering or relate.
- 3-5 Years experience in Manufacturing electrical/controls field
- Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls
- Electrical background (Electrician or Technician)
- Able to Gather, Analyze, evaluate data to provide an option to decision making and presented.
- Excellent English communication such as verbal and writing. Preferably background particularly Stamping Facilities.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding and communication skills.
- Project management and organizational experience (Min 2 years)
- Experience within manufacturing (Plant, Eng, etc) (Min 2 years).
- Networking and communication protocols experience (Min 2 years)
- Experience with PLC (Siemens/Allen Bradley),HMI, VFD, Profinet, AutoCAD, C and RSLOGIX software and systems (Min 2 years)
- Working Knowledge of Metal Stamping Presses and Automation.(Min 2 years)
- Ownership and Responsibility are strong require.
- Strong organizational, administrative and conflict management skills.
- Ability to learn, develop and motivate towards delivery of objectives
