The Total Rewards Manager South America will be  accountable for budgets, performance, and results of the Total Rewards team across locations. The role will provide guidance and advice regarding various Total Rewards matters including compensation and benefits issues that arise during business while ensuring compliance with relevant company HR policies, procedures, and programs. The role closely partners with senior HR leadership to address complex Total Rewards issues and collaborates with various departments. The role also designs effective communication strategies and oversees their implementation. The role has expertise in stakeholder and risk management, designing Total Rewards policies and standards in line with business priorities, and ensuring compliance further contributes to fostering a compliant and ethical work environment. The role has full management authority for staffing, performance, disciplinary action, pay decisions, team development, and other personnel actions.


  • Oversees administration and implementation of Rewards (Compensation and Benefits) programs that align with the organization's overall business goals, with fairness and consistency in a timely manner. Ensures compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Leads the design, implementation, and administration of competitive compensation programs, including salary structures, incentives, and performance-based pay. Oversees rewards plan evaluation and analysis to monitor the effectiveness of existing corporate practices, ensuring that the policies are cost-effective and as per the latest compensation trends.
  • Participates in the development and oversees management of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other perks. Ensures that benefits offerings meet the needs of employees and align with industry benchmarks. Directs and manages the analysis of HR data and metrics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including comparisons to benchmarks.
  • Leads associated interactions with various internal departments/units as well as external vendors around Total rewards matters. Manages relationships with external partners, such as benefits providers and compensation consultants. Participates in contract negotiations, monitors service levels, and assesses the value of outsourced services.
  • Develops departmental budgets, regularly monitor the same against actual performance for one or more locations and develop strategies to adjust courses of action in case of variance. Leads associated presentations with Senior internal stakeholders.
  • Oversees development of a job evaluation system including appropriate job classifications, salary levels, and salary adjustments. Provides counsel to compensation partners, talent management, and key business stakeholders.
  • Leads the development of relevant standards, procedures, and reporting templates to ensure efficient and effective experiences. Monitors metrics around rewards plan & procedures and provides advice/liaise with different departments wherever necessary.
  • Leads the design of operating policies and protocols for the delivery of HR-specific communications and policies related to the Total Rewards function including change in rewards structure etc. Collaborates with HR and communication teams to deliver clear and compelling messages to all employees.
  • Ensures the maintenance of accurate and confidential records and data related to Total Rewards matters. Stays updated with changing regulations and recommend necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
  • Performs talent management responsibilities including staffing, performance, disciplinary action, pay decisions, team development, and other personnel actions for the Total Rewards function.
  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience. - mandatory
    • Advanced/Fluent English - mandatory
    • Advanced/Fluent Spanish - desirable

    Experience:

    • Minimum 8 years of work experience with a Master’s degree or 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Total Rewards or a related field. - mandatory


    Licenses and Certifications:

    • Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR) (Preferred)
    • Certified Compensation Professional (Preferred)
    • Certified Benefits Professional (Preferred)



    Location: São Paulo, Brazil - Vila Olímpia Office
    Work Model: Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day remote)
    Scope: 7 Countries (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela)
