What you’ll be able to do: 

Full Stack Software Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the aforementioned worksite.   Deliver end-to-end software services involving greater customer experiences and the platform supporting those experiences. Appy strong technical acumen in cloud computing platforms and technology. Use data-driven approach but also drives to conclusions with imperfect/incomplete data. Use Agile methodology and associated management tools (Jira). Enable the design, development, and support of Platforms, APIs, and services. Participate in white board sessions to gather customer requirements. Develop SpringBoot/Java API/microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) utilizing GCP services, including Cloud Run, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud Pub/Sub. Perform software engineering using Test Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Work in an extreme software development environment using Kanban software methodology. Work with team members to establish best practices to maximize efficiency and minimize risk. Interact and work closely with product managers to devise solutions and break them down into incremental production-ready user stories. Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges. Refactor API/microservices for simplification and efficiency. Execute API Load and Performance (L&P) on API/modules developed. Develop software that is Clean Code compliant and utilize SonarQube. Perform individual development and collaborate with cross functional teams on end-to-end integration, testing and issue triage efforts. Use DevOps tools, including Jenkins and GitHub, to deploy, improve and manage software. Stay current on the latest technology and contribute to the technical direction of the company while keeping a customer-centric approach. 

You'll have...

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.   2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:  1. Utilizing Test Driven Development (TDD) approach to software engineering to ensure better code quality, design, and coverage.  2. Utilizing Java and Spring Boot framework to develop multi-cloud applications.  3. Utilizing DevOps tools Jenkins and GitHub to perform continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) and code management.  4. Utilizing containerization technologies, Docker or Kubernetes, to manage and deploy cloud services.  5. Designing and implementing APIs and microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while utilizing GCP services: GKE, Cloud Run, and PubSub.  6. Utilizing code analysis tools, SonarQube, FOSSA, and Cycode, to improve quality, security, and compliance.  7. Implementing and utilizing Splunk or GCP Cloud Logging for log management and analysis.

We are offering a salary of $102,190.00 - $190,500.00/yr.
