In our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. You'll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.
In this position...
Are you a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives on solving problems, developing people, and driving measurable results? As our Stamping Manufacturing Area Manager, you'll lead a high-performing team at the heart of automotive production — where precision, safety, and continuous improvement come together to shape the vehicles our customers depend on. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise with people leadership, using data and Lean principles to build a safer, more efficient, and more engaged manufacturing operation.
What you'll do...
- Lead daily stamping operations to meet goals in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team development.
- Coach, mentor, and develop salaried and hourly team members to build a high-performing, engaged workforce.
- Use manufacturing data and performance metrics to identify trends, solve problems, and guide decision-making.
- Lead structured problem-solving and root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone, A3) to resolve operational challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Foster an inclusive, accountable, and safety-first culture while supporting the rollout of new products, equipment, and processes.
You'll have...
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically 5 to 8 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, ideally within automotive stamping or similar high-volume production environments.
- Experience leading large manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Strong people leadership, coaching, and performance management abilities.
- Data-driven decision-making using manufacturing KPIs and performance metrics.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (DMAIC and statistical problem-solving tools); Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone, A3, PFMEA, Control Plans).
- Familiarity with automotive quality tools such as PPAP, FMEA, and SPC.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) is a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills; advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
Even better, you may have...
Experience with automation and Industry 4.0 manufacturing technologies.
Change management or project management experience.
Exposure to global manufacturing operations and cross-cultural collaboration.
