We are seeking a communications expert to act as a key member of the plant operating committee. The role involves developing and implementing internal, community, and media communication strategies for BlueOval Battery Michigan. This includes crafting stories around successes, managing internal communications and events, producing newsletters, supporting leadership messaging, preparing subject matter experts for public speaking, and leading the planning and execution of major site events. You will need to stay informed on industry news, build relationships with journalists, and serve as a liaison between BlueOval Battery Michigan and Ford stakeholders while continuously developing your skills.
This role is responsible for independently tackling complex safety challenges by applying technical expertise to develop solutions for hazard control, safety systems, compliance, and risk management. You will collaborate with team members to implement safety processes like the Safety Operating System (SOS), emergency response planning, and safety training. You'll work with senior engineers to complete project milestones based on functional priorities.
You will use your expertise and team mindset to develop data-driven solutions to ensure equipment meets design and installation requirements, building and leading an agile team to deliver advanced technology.
