This summer, 26 Ford facilities in the U.S. and Canada opened their doors to welcome the friends and families of plant team members. Employee voices spoke with pride as they showed off all they had accomplished and excitement as they look ahead to what comes next.
The Family Open House season has wrapped up but the memories will remain for employees like Maribel Cortez, an inspector for F-150 pre-delivery at Kansas City Assembly Plant. She says that her kids love that she makes trucks and works on cars. “Every time we see a Ford car, they say 'mom made that' or 'that's mom's company.’ It's great that we get to bring the kids in to see what we do.”
Through that sense of community and teamwork, Ford manufacturing team members contribute to a strong, bright future by delivering our best-ever portfolio of gas, hybrid, and electric vehicles.
