Ford TRAC Program Coordinator

We made history and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.

In this position...

The national Ford TRAC Coordinator will oversee and manage the nationwide Technician Ready Accelerated Certification (TRAC) programs. The position acts as a high-level liaison between Ford Motor Company, colleges and technical schools, and Ford and Lincoln dealerships to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the TRAC program.

What you'll do...

  • New Program Launch Coordination: Partner with the field team (TSOMs, MACs, TRPs, and FSEs) to identify prospective TRAC program locations and facilitate buy-in meetings with supporting community colleges and local Ford/Lincoln dealerships. Lead procurement of required training vehicles and Ford-specific training aids, guide colleges through classroom setup, and assist dealerships with required off-the-shelf tooling purchases.
    • Program Launch Responsibilities: Support colleges in hiring Ford TRAC instructors, provide guidance on the blended ASE/Ford curriculum, and plan/facilitate Open House and Ribbon Cutting events for new programs.
  • Single Point of Contact: As single point of contact (SPOC) between Ford and the TRAC programs, the TRAC coordinator is the central liaison for communication, requests, and issue resolution, simplifying interactions and ensuring consistent flow of information. This includes receiving and routing inquiries, coordinating projects, and tracking progress.
  • New TRAC Technician Recruitment: Support the field team (MACs and TRPs) in recruiting TRAC Technicians for enrollment in new and existing Ford TRAC programs.
  • National program management: The TRAC coordinator oversees all aspects of the TRAC program across the country, ensuring uniform standards and curriculum at all participating colleges and technical schools.
  • Liaison and Relationship Management: This role is the central point of contact, building and maintaining relationships with multiple stakeholders, including:
    • Ford Motor Company: Works with corporate training and resource departments to integrate the latest technical curriculum and training materials into the ASSET program.
    • Educational institutions: Collaborates with college administrators and instructors to ensure program goals are met and resources are up to date.
    • Dealerships: Communicates with dealerships as needed to assist in the facilitation of instructor’s coordination of the student sponsorship and in-dealer work experience.
  • Curriculum Development and Oversight: The coordinator ensures that the TRAC curriculum, which leads to a college certification, is developed and updated in conjunction with Ford's latest vehicle technology and training standards.
  • Training and certification: The coordinator monitors and certifies new TRAC instructors at participating colleges to ensure they are qualified to teach all Ford TRAC Training Courses.
  • Student monitoring: This role provides administrative support to TRAC students to ensure they have continuous access to all required Ford systems and resources while in the program.
  • Resource and equipment provisioning: Ensures that participating colleges receive necessary training materials, equipment, and the latest Ford training vehicles to provide students with modern, hands-on experience.
  • Program Performance & Measurement: Own KPIs for existing and new TRAC programs, evaluating program effectiveness and quality across Ford/Lincoln dealerships and Ford Motor Company. Develop reporting metrics and channels to monitor program health in partnership with community colleges, technical schools, and dealerships. Translate findings into improvement plans and corrective actions as needed.
  • Forecasting & Analytics: Gather input from cross-functional skills teams to assess demand and identify locations for new Ford TRAC programs. Leverage AI and analytics tools to build data-driven business cases supporting program expansion.
  • Communication & Presentation: Serve as the primary representative of the Ford TRAC program, delivering compelling, data-driven presentations to internal and external stakeholders. Maintain strong in-person and virtual presentation skills to effectively communicate program value and impact.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing data, identifying/forecasting trends, and providing actionable recommendations.
  • 3+ years of experience developing KPIs, reporting metrics, and monitoring channels to track program health and effectiveness
  • 3+ years of experience in coordinating multi-step logistics for new program launches (vehicle/equipment procurement, classroom setup, tooling purchases, Open House/Ribbon Cutting events)

Even better, you may have...

  • Proficiency leveraging AI and analytics tools to build data-driven business cases for program expansion
  • Strong in-person and virtual presentation skills
  • Ability to deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent priorities across a nationwide network of programs, sites, and stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail for tracking instructor certifications, contract statuses (2- or 5-year TRAC agreements), class size/utilization, and graduate outcomes by program year
  • Familiarity with automotive technology, curriculum development, and training standards (ideally within an ASE/Ford or similar technical training environment)
  • Comfort with administrative systems (e.g., STARS, SPS, LMS, PTS/IDS/FDRS, Concur, SharePoint) and troubleshooting access issues
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across multiple stakeholder groups (Ford corporate teams, field teams, college administrators/instructors, and dealerships)
