Title: Test Automation Engineer – SAP Service Parts Management 
Division: Ford Customer Service Division Enterprise Technology (FCSD Tech)

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our dedicated automation team. Your mission will be to increase our testing velocity and reliability. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated automation suites using Tricentis TOSCA, while also leveraging your experience in Micro Focus UFT to transition legacy assets into our modern automation framework.

Position Responsibilities

  • Automate Testing in SAP Service Parts Management
    • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Tricentis TOSCA for SAP Service Parts Management (SPM) Business Suite and S/4HANA.
    • Ensure test coverage for key SPM processes, including parts ordering, inventory management, service request handling and claims management.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand testing requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
    • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for these modules, ensuring alignment with market requirements and overall testing strategy.
    • Leverage TOSCA’s capabilities for complex scenarios, integrations, and data-driven testing.
    • Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks for SPM.
  • Support S/4HANA Transition
    • Play a key role in the migration of existing test suites (partially in MicroFocus UFT) from SAP Business Suite to SAP S/4HANA
    • Analyze and adapt existing test automation scripts to accommodate changes in functionality and architecture.
    • Develop new test cases to address S/4HANA-specifc features and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Teams:
    • Work closely with development, markets, and other testing teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
    • Proactively communicate progress, challenges, and potential risks to stakeholders.
    • Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and best practice discussions.
  • Maintain and Improve Testing Processes:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
    • Seek opportunities to optimize test automation frameworks for efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in test automation.

Required Skills

  • Strong Expertise in Tricentis TOSCA:
    • Deep understanding of TOSCA’s features, functionalities, and best practices for test automation.
    • Proficiency in developing, executing, and maintaining TOSCA test cases and modules.
    • Experience with TOSCA’s integration with SAP systems.
  • Experience with Micro Focus UFT:
    • Strong understanding of UFT’s features, functionalities, and scripting language.
    • Experience with developing, executing, and maintaining UFT test scripts for SAP applications.
    • Ability to analyze and migrate UFT scripts to TOSCA effectively.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of SAP Modules:
    • Extensive experience working with SAP modules, particularly EWM, CRM, SCM, FI, SD and/or ECC.
    • Understanding of core business processes within these modules and their technical implementation.
    • Ability to identify and analyze potential test scenarios based on market requirements.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues related to test automation.
    • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot errors and optimize test scripts.
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effectively interacting with stakeholders.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and contribute to a positive work environment.

Additional Considerations

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies: Experience with Agile development and testing practices would be an advantage.
