Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Program Support
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies to achieve program targets related to tooling and piece-price costs.
- Support program sourcing activities and deliver competitive commercial agreements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to meet program milestones and business objectives.
Cost Management & Value Optimization
- Lead supplier negotiations to achieve year-over-year cost reduction targets.
- Utilize cost analysis and benchmarking tools to drive best-in-class pricing.
- Identify and implement value engineering opportunities that improve total value across the supply chain.
Supplier Development & Risk Management
- Support the development of a high-performing and sustainable supplier base.
- Monitor supplier performance in quality, delivery, and cost.
- Identify supply risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Drive localization and regional sourcing initiatives where appropriate.
Commodity Strategy
- Participate in global commodity reviews and strategic planning activities.
- Develop and execute regional commodity strategies aligned with global business objectives.
- Leverage global sourcing opportunities to maximize value and competitiveness.
Production Support
- Ensure uninterrupted supply to support production requirements.
- Resolve supplier and supply chain constraints that could impact operations.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Influence and lead cross-functional teams within a global and multicultural environment.
- Share knowledge, mentor team members, and contribute to team development initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and process discipline.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or commodity management.
- Experience managing suppliers within automotive manufacturing environments.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive commodity buying experience.
- Manufacturing process expertise in casting, forging, and machining.
- Experience working with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of supplier risk management and cost modeling techniques.
- Project management experience.
