We are seeking a skilled DevOps & Tech Support Engineer to join our North America New Model Programs Business IT team, working from our IMG Offices in India.
You will focus on devOps engineering—building and maintaining the Tekton pipelines that support our delivery, ensuring our tech stack complies with Corporate IT guidelines, and exploring the technical path and its feasibility/value on migrating backend service from GCP OpenShift to GCP Cloud Run and Apigee.
The ideal candidate is experienced in PAC (Pipeline as Code), comfortable with Python/Angular codebases for migration and framework update purposes and is an early adopter of AI-assisted tools to automate infrastructure tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Engineering: Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Tekton and PAC (Pipeline as Code). Ensure all pipelines adhere to Ford’s latest PAS/DevSecOps standards.
- Backend Cloud Migration Exploration: Explore the technical feasibility/path on migrating backend services from GCP OpenShift to Google Cloud Run.
- API Management: Manage API publication via Apigee, ensuring adherence to security protocols, including passing 42Crunch security scans and resolving vulnerability findings.
- AI-Augmented Operations: Leverage GitHub Copilot and other AI tools to enhance pipeline configurations, troubleshoot build failures, and optimize deployment speed.
- Production & Tech Support: Provide tech support to NMP IMG region when needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information System, or related technical field.
- Experience:
- GSR 7: 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or backend service implementation and management.
- GSR 8: 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or backend service implementation and management, UI framework update, full stack application development experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- CI/CD: Proficiency in Tekton, PAC (Pipeline as Code), and GitHub Actions.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with GCP Cloud Run, Apigee, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Security: Experience with API security standards (OAS), 42Crunch, and Apigee.
- Coding: Ability to read and debug Python and Angular code to facilitate migrations and upgrades.
- AI Leverage: Proven ability to utilize Generative AI tools to debug pipeline issues and solve infrastructure challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Ford’s internal Api standard, Api security controls and compliance.
- Exposure to Ford internal application development stacks.
- Being able to support diverse issues or automation and modernization effort from NMP IMG region.
