Engineer ED & BOM

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Vehicle Illustration (Technical Documentation) Specialist to join the Global Illustrations and Homologations team. In this role, the candidate will play a critical part in translating complex technical specifications into visually compelling and precise illustrations that support vehicle builds (proto & production), engineering, and homologation processes. Candidate will work with industry-leading tools such as 3DX, Catia Composer, Teamcenter, Vis-Mockup, and Adobe Illustrator to produce high-quality visual assets across Assembly, Engine, and Powertrain domains.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of vehicle architecture and assembly sequences, possesses excellent analytical and communication skills, and thrives in a collaborative, international work environment. This role demands a proactive team player who embodies One Ford Behavior, adapts seamlessly to both CAD and non-CAD workflows, and manages relationships effectively across global, regional, and local stakeholders.

• Create detailed Assembly Illustrations, Engine/Powertrain Component Illustrations, and Homologation Drawings in accordance with Ford processes and standards
• Leverage a solid understanding of vehicle architecture, engine/powertrain functionality, and assembly sequences to produce accurate illustrations
• Generate professional illustrations using 3DX, Catia Composer, Teamcenter, Vis-Mockup, and Adobe illustrator
• Translate complex technical specifications into visually engaging and precise illustrations
• Collaborate actively with design and engineering teams to visualize vehicle concepts and support design reviews
• Utilize Adobe Photoshop for image editing and the creation of high-quality visual assets to enhance technical documentation
• Work effectively in an international environment, managing and nurturing relationships with global, regional, and local teams
• Apply strong analytical skills to evaluate and improve illustration quality and accuracy
• Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) for documentation and presentations

• Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical/automobile) or related disciplines.

Experience:

• 2 to 6 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Technical Documentation (Catia Composer/Adobe Illustrator/Industry's leading technical documentation tools)
  Candidates should ideally have 2+ years of relevant experience.

Functional/Technical Skills:

• In-depth CAD tool skills (Catia V5 /Catia Composer/Adobe Illustrator/Teamcenter/Vismockup).
• Expertise in vehicle systems and sub-systems (Interior, Exterior, Chassis, Powertrain, Electrical, and vehicle architecture).
• Work experience with PLM tools (Teamcenter /3DX).
• Knowledge of engineering quality tools: FMEAs, Six Sigma, etc.
• Knowledge of applied systems engineering, Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge in New Product Introduction process, its milestones, and its delivery success criteria for engineering.
• Knowledge of material cost, business equations, and basic finance.

• Working knowledge with Office Tools
