Product & Program Definition Specialist

This role is part of the Ford+ Product Development transformation, focused on moving beyond traditional consulting/ OEM role into hands-on delivery of transformation. The successful candidate will play a critical role in defining, structuring, and executing product and program initiatives.

You will work across data, process, and technology teams to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions, identify opportunities for optimisation, and develop practical outputs such as prototypes, solution frameworks, and data models. This role requires strong analytical thinking, technical awareness, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Project Execution & Integration

• Drive cross-functional discussions and align teams including data, product, and process groups
• Facilitate collaboration by clearly defining roles, dependencies, and outcomes

Problem Structuring & Analysis

• Break down complex problems into structured components
• Prioritise high-impact opportunities and recommend actionable solutions

Solution Development

• Translate business pain points into solution concepts, prototypes, or demonstrable outputs
• Build and present solution artefacts using data insights, use cases, or system capabilities

Technical & Business Alignment

• Interpret and articulate technical concepts such as APIs, data models, and attribute frameworks in business terms
• Ensure solution alignment with business objectives and product strategy

Hands-on Delivery

• Create documentation, process flows, and lightweight data models
• Support infrastructure or tooling needs required for solution demonstrations

Opportunity Identification

• Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities across product development lifecycle
• Generate actionable ideas and contribute to the program pipeline

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with structured problem-solving ability
• Good understanding of data concepts, APIs, and system integration
• Ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders
• Hands-on mindset with a focus on execution and delivery

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data modelling, process mapping, or solution architecture
• Exposure to Agile, product management, or digital transformation initiatives
• Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Azure, or similar ecosystems

Experience

• 5–10 years of experience in Product Development, preferably within Automotive OEMs or similar industries
• Prior experience in cross-functional program delivery or product strategy roles
