Software Engineer

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Software Engineer, where your expertise in Java Spring Boot and Google Cloud Platform will drive significant impact. You will be at the forefront of evolving our modern application architecture, responsible for the end-to-end technical design and development of high-performance microservices. Your daily tasks will involve creating technical designs for proposed solutions, implementing flexible GraphQL schemas and REST endpoints, and fine-tuning data access layers for both traditional SQL databases and Google BigQuery.

Beyond core development, you will be a key contributor to our cloud engineering standards by deploying containerized applications directly to GCP Cloud Run. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud-native principles, where you will utilize Terraform to manage infrastructure and GCP Pub/Sub to build scalable, event-driven systems. You will also support our CI/CD maturity by working with Tekton pipelines to ensure automated and reliable software delivery. While the primary focus is backend engineering, a working knowledge of React JS will be advantageous for seamless collaboration with frontend teams. • Collaborate across teams. You'll work closely with engineers, product managers, and internal stakeholders to articulate technical solutions and shape the future of our cloud offerings.
• Design and develop scalable microservices using Java Spring Boot, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Create or fine-tune real-time API services using both REST and GraphQL paradigms for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
• Manage complex data interactions, writing optimized SQL queries and leveraging GCP BigQuery for large-scale data analytics.
• Understand existing environments, resolve production issues, and improve system stability through effective debugging and performance tuning.
• Support cloud migration and modernization activities by containerizing applications for GCP Cloud Run.

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Java (8/11/17+), Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• 3 years of GCP experience working in cloud-native environments, specifically leveraging Cloud Run, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
• Strong proficiency in designing and implementing robust RESTful APIs and GraphQL schemas.
• 1 year of experience deploying Google Cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Strong experience in the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Cloud).
• Good understanding of CI/CD methodologies, specifically using Tekton pipelines for automated deployment.
• Ability to build event-driven architectures using GCP Pub/Sub for asynchronous service communication.
• Basic understanding or hands-on experience with React JS to collaborate effectively with frontend teams.
• Strong understanding of development, testing, and debugging concepts in a distributed cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented design, Design Patterns, and SQL database optimization.
