The Integration and Platform Engineering team serves as the communication backbone across Ford Credit systems. We are looking for an innovative and hands-on engineer who combines strong software engineering fundamentals with a passion for AI-enabled solutions.
In this role, you will design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly resilient services while working directly with stakeholders to solve business problems through technology. You will also help drive adoption of AI-powered automation and intelligent workflows using modern cloud and platform technologies.
What You Will Do
- Design and develop event-driven, scalable, reliable, and resilient platform solutions.
- Build and maintain microservices and API-based integrations across enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with product and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Partner directly with business teams to rapidly prototype, validate, and deliver innovative solutions.
- Develop and integrate AI-powered agents and automation capabilities into operational workflows.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agent-based architectures using enterprise AI platforms.
- Contribute to cloud-based solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Champion DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning, monitoring, and observability.
- Develop dashboards, alerts, and platform health monitoring to ensure application reliability and availability.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, experimentation, and adoption of emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MCA, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of software development experience in enterprise applications.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
- Experience designing and implementing microservice architectures.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience developing SOAP and/or REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience building cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with event-driven architecture and asynchronous integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD practices.
- Experience implementing automated testing strategies including unit, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), JUnit, and Selenium.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing AI agents or workflow automation solutions.
- Experience implementing RAG-based solutions using enterprise AI platforms.
- Familiarity with Claude ecosystem tools and AI orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of code quality and security tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, 42Crunch, or equivalent.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to identify problems and rapidly prototype solutions.
