We are looking for a Virtual Manufacturing Engineer to support digital DPA5 validation Static & Dynamic study and assembly process planning for new vehicle programs. The role involves performing virtual feasibility studies, simulating assembly processes, and ensuring ergonomic and efficient manufacturing solutions using industry-standard tools.
You will collaborate with global teams to validate designs, optimise assembly sequences, and develop detailed process documentation that supports production readiness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual feasibility reviews using digital mock-ups to identify design-for-assembly (DFA) issues, interferences, and clearance constraints
- Perform static assessments using Vis Mockup and dynamic simulations using Process Simulate
- Build and validate assembly processes including tooling access, operator reach, and robotic paths
- Evaluate ergonomics and safety for manual operations and ensure cycle-time feasibility
- Create, update, and maintain process sheets within Vehicle Process Sheet (VPS)
- Develop and manage the Bill of Process (BoP), aligning parts, tools, and sequences to workstations
- Maintain MPP (Manufacturing Process Planning) structures in Teamcenter
- Create and maintain project checklists and documentation (inputs, tracking, outputs)
- Collaborate with global stakeholders for design reviews, feedback, and project updates
- Support training and development of team members
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Production, or Automobile Engineering
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in digital manufacturing or virtual assembly simulation
- Hands-on experience with one or more tools: Teamcenter, Process Simulate, Vis Mockup
- Hands-on experience with New Process sheet writing (VPS)
Skills
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly workflows
- Knowledge of ergonomics and safety in assembly environments
- Ability to interpret engineering designs and BOM/BoP structures
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with Siemens Process Simulate, 3D CAD, Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, preferred.
- Familiarity with Final Assembly tooling, processes and facilities preferred.
