Analyst, China Compliance and Homologation

This position is responsible for managing the homologation and regulatory compliance of export programs (including the Ford Brand vehicles from JMC). Key responsibilities include leading the regulatory compliance process (CDP&R). homologation witness tests in China and paperwork submission.
Interface with Program Teams (Marketing, PD, Planning, Manufacturing, etc.) on regulatory/homologation requirements and give presentations.
Deliver guidance on regulatory requirements for global markets (ECE)
- Provide regulatory knowledge transfer and build competence among product engineers.
- Support the Product Development teams to ensure robust, consistent compliance documentation
- Help to resolve regulatory and non-regulatory design related issues.
- Development of export market homologation plans
- Conduct worst case meetings with engineering & Type Approval Authorities.
- Agree certification requirements with government officials.
- Work with PD for vehicle preparation & sign off ahead of homologation testing
- Liaise with Technical Services during witness testing.
- Collect and consolidate engineering data into final government applications.
- Obtain system certification for environmental, passive or active safety homologation systems.
- Submit product applications to government authorities.
- Respond to regulatory queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or vehicle engineering etc.
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in automotive product development, regulatory compliance, vehicle testing, or homologation processes.
Project management and strong drive for results.
English reading and writing proficiency required
Knowledge of global/China automotive regulations and homologation processes highly considered
