Seat Components SME

Lead all technical development of seat commodity. The role will focus on the design, development and optimization of complete seat. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the creation of safe, durable and efficient seat that meet industry standards and customer expectations. 

1. Develop and manage DFMEA with Quality & Core Engineer & suppliers. 
2. Develop and manage component/system DVP&R with Core Engineering & suppliers.
3. Develop plans to meet quality objectives and validate robustness and durability of the designs.
4. Ensure design and all Engineering specifications are understood by supplier 
5.  Ensure all Ford engineering and quality requirements are met thru design and verification
6. Transfer and convert CAD data from/to suppliers as required.
7. Oversee prototype build and testing, review results and prepare report.
8. Oversee component/system level design verification and production validation.
9.  Interface with Ford NA, Australia, Europe and China team for product launch.
10.  Perform package and stack-up studies at both component and subsystem levels.
11. Participate in root cause analysis and problem resolution as issues occur. 
12.  Support all APQP activities including PPAP.

1. Extensive experience with Ford requirements/specifications, problem solving. 
2. Extensive experience in Quality/Reliability such as FMEA, Design Verification and Global 8D.
3. In-depth knowledge in CAD, CAE and testing.
4. In-depth knowledge in production process.
5. Knowledge of APQP process.
6. OEM supplier experience preferred. 
7. Good skills in project management.
8. Good communication skills in Chinese and English.
9. Flexible working hours to accommodate meetings with North America, Australia and Europe.
10. Familiar with MS Office applications
11. Team player, dependable and honest.
