Description: Main purpose of the role; a general summary of what is done in this area. The primary function of the New Programs area is to implement the new production models included in Ford Motor Co.’s Business Plan.
Ford Champs will allow to get to now different business areas through 12 months, while you improve your skills and become a better professional.
As an PD Ford Champ, you will be responsible of provide leadership to interdisciplinary teams to ensure that the activities established in the Launch system standards are met on time and in the proper manner. The basic tools to be used are those included in GPDS and LQOS (which represent the standards and operating systems for New Program Launches).
What you´ll do:
A breakdown of the key activities and specific functions assigned to the role. The main activities of this position include the daily documentation of the primary metrics for the current program (CX727 26.5MY Job2 Launch).
A second function will be to prepare the daily status of the parts changing in this Launch using Excel and the Parts system (OTG). This report includes the evolution and progress of production parts until they reach “Sellable” status (Phase 2 PPAP).
It is also expected that when parts to be assembled in pre-production events arrive at the Plant, they are certified by the Engineers who release and design these parts. A third function will be the coordination of this activity and its reporting to the Launch group.
What you´ll need:
- Active student from any of the last 2 semesters of Automotive Engineer, Mechatronic Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or related
- 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Technical skills and knowledge necessary to fill the position
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Fast learner regarding operating and data management systems
