Ignite the Future of Mobility with Ford ADAS

Leverage your deep technical background and proven project management acumen to shape the future of driving, making it safer, easier, and more intuitive for our customers. The Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) team at Ford is at the forefront of automotive innovation, developing state-of-the-art hardware, software, and algorithms. We deliver best-in-class features such as the revolutionary BlueCruise hands-free driving technology, advanced Surround View Camera systems, and intelligent Pro Trailering features. Our work directly contributes to Ford's vision of connected, autonomous, shared, and electric vehicles.

What you'll do…

As a Systems TPM Supervisor, you will lead and mentor a high-performing team of Systems Technical Program Managers within the ADAS organization. You will be instrumental in driving the integration across complex technical domains, ensuring the successful achievement of cross-functional program milestones and deliverables for our next-generation driver-assistance architectures. This is a pivotal leadership role where your strategic vision and execution prowess will directly impact the development and deployment of cutting-edge automotive technology.

You will be a significant contributor to the development of our next-generation Driver Assistance Technology (DAT) architecture and provide critical support for our current DAT architecture. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Roadmap Leadership: Leading the comprehensive planning and development of Systems roadmaps, meticulously aligning program timing and deliverables with both platform systems and feature system development.
  • Decision Orchestration: Driving critical technical and program decisions to successful completion, ensuring seamless alignment between technical development, strategic departmental priorities, supplier constraints, and overarching Platform & Program expectations.
  • Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identifying, analyzing, and managing complex upstream and downstream risks and dependencies. You will raise awareness among leadership and develop robust mitigation plans to keep development teams unblocked and on track.
  • Data-Driven Program Governance: Owning the critical data and insights required to prepare and drive impactful Program and Platform review content, fostering transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Process Excellence & Innovation: Championing and driving continuous process improvement across the ADAS organization to accelerate our already strong culture of quality, efficiency, and excellence.
  • Team Development & Mentorship: Recruiting, developing, and coaching a team of high-performing Systems Technical Program Managers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

You'll have…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in automotive project or program management.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a Systems Engineering or related technical leadership role.

Even better, you may have…

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep, applied knowledge of Systems Engineering principles, including Design, Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA), Requirements Atomization, and Traceability.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Ford’s Global Product Development System (GPDS), understanding its phases, deliverables, and role in accelerating product development.
  • Experience in Automotive Electronic Control Modules (ECU) and Sensor Design.
  • Proficiency in Systems Modeling and Requirements Management tools such as MagicDraw and Jama.
  • Proficiency in Agile project management and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate technical teams, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above?
