In this position...
We are seeking a versatile and highly motivated Consumer Marketing Automation Specialist to join our Customer Relationship Management Marketing. In this hybrid role, you will act as both a Solutions Consultant and a Technical Lead, bridging the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution. You will be responsible for leading requirement-gathering efforts, translating business needs into actionable technical specifications, and hands-on development of automated, multi-channel customer journeys. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of analytical prowess and deep technical expertise in SFMC, including advanced scripting, API integrations, and data architecture.
What you'll do...
- Requirement Gathering & Solution Design: Lead intake and discovery sessions between the SFMC team and various business units. Translate complex business needs into technical design documentation and architectural blueprints.

- Integration & Data Management: Configure and manage Marketing Cloud Connect (MCC) for seamless integration with Salesforce CRM. Utilize REST/SOAP APIs to trigger real-time communications from external Ford systems.
- Technical Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the primary SME for Mobile Push and Einstein AI features (e.g. Engagement Scoring/STO). Advise stakeholders on strategy, implementation, and troubleshooting for real-time personalization.
- Agile Delivery & DevOps: Manage the end-to-end delivery lifecycle within an Agile framework. Utilize Package Manager and deployment best practices to migrate assets across Business Units.
- Preference & Compliance Management: Develop and maintain custom Preference Centers using Cloud Pages to ensure brand compliance and data integrity across multiple data extensions.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay current on Salesforce releases (including Data Cloud/CDP developments) and industry trends to drive continuous improvement within the CRM ecosystem.
You'll have...
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Core Technical Proficiency:
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with AMP script, SQL, Python and HTML/CSS for email and landing page development.
- Proven experience with SQL Optimization and Query Studio to manage large-scale datasets without performance degradation.
- Expertise in Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Data Extension architecture.
- Integration Skills: Deep understanding of Marketing Cloud Connect (MCC) and syncing data between Sales/Service Cloud and SFMC.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to gather requirements and translate them into technical user stories, process maps, and data flow diagrams.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts (like API payloads or data modeling) to non-technical business partners.

- Advanced Scripting: Proficiency in Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS) and JSON for complex logic and API parsing.
- API Expertise: Experience testing and implementing REST and SOAP APIs using tools like Postman.
- AI & Personalization: Experience implementing Einstein AI (Send Time Optimization, Engagement Scoring) and Interaction Studio (Marketing Cloud Personalization).
- Future-Proofing: Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP), identity resolution, and high-level data modeling.
- DevOps Tools: Experience with SFMC Package Manager, Deployment Manager, or VS Code for SFMC development.
- SAAS expereince is a plus
