FCSD PT/EV Business Strategy & Transformation Analyst
We made history and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.
In this position...
In this role, you will support organizational change by analyzing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and assisting with the implementation of strategies to enhance efficiency, technology adoption, and business performance. Serving as an analytical and operational support engine for our powertrain parts business, you will collaborate on initiatives to optimize dealer and distributor performance, resolve supply chain bottlenecks, track and help reduce Repair Order (RO) duration, and leverage digital technologies. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Ford's service and parts operations during a historic industry transition.
What you'll do...
Data Reporting & Business Intelligence:
- Sales Tracking & Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on Powertrain (PT) sales performance (New & Remanufactured, assemblies, and components) across key channels including Dealers, Powertrain Distributors (PTD), Certified Parts Wholesaling Dealers (CPWD), and Independent Repair Facilities (IRF).
- Inventory & Distribution Management: Track and report on PTD inventory levels to ensure optimal stock alignment and market availability.
- Benchmarking: Support competitive benchmarking on PT service strategies and pricing structures across both OEM and aftermarket competitors to help identify growth opportunities.
Project Coordination & Digital Support:
- Project Support & Monitoring: Coordinate and support transformation initiatives, with a specific focus on backorder resolution and Repair Order (RO) duration reduction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as SWAT teams) to track project progress, monitor outcomes, and assist in adjusting strategies as needed.
- Digital Process Support: Assist in the evaluation of emerging technologies, help gather business requirements, and support the implementation of digital solutions (such as AI agents, automated reporting dashboards, or process playbooks) to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
Process Analysis & Operational Support:
- Process Analysis & Improvement: Support the assessment of existing business processes, workflows, and operational models to help identify inefficiencies. Conduct research, gather data, and perform detailed analysis to recommend actionable changes.
- Strategy Support: Assist in the development of transformation roadmaps, business process reengineering efforts, and digital adoption plans, ensuring alignment with powertrain business objectives.
- Research & Best Practices: Conduct research and analysis to identify business transformation opportunities. Help track industry trends and best practices in business transformation to continuously improve processes.
Stakeholder Communication & Change Management:
- Communication Support: Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings, project status (including RO duration metrics), and recommendations to management, Powertrain Distributors, and other key stakeholders.
- Change Management Assistance: Support change management efforts by assisting with training, communication plans, and adoption strategies to facilitate organizational change. Help employees and dealer networks adapt to new systems, processes, or technologies.
You'll have...
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in automotive business development, wholesale parts, dealer relations, service operations, or business/digital transformation support.
- 2+ years of experience navigating "white space" projects—demonstrating flexibility, managing ambiguity, and helping establish structure and processes in undefined or rapidly evolving business environments.
- 1+ years of experience in data analysis, process mapping, market reporting, or business intelligence.
- 1+ years of demonstrated ability to support organizational change, analyze processes, and assist in implementing process improvements.
- 1+ years of experience in project coordination, with the ability to work across functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- 1+ years of experience with excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to organize complex data into clear, actionable updates for stakeholders.
Even better, you may have...
- Prior experience within the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) or related operations in roles such as:
- Business Development Manager
- Ownership Zone Manager
- CPWD Zone Manager
- Parts Supply and Logistics
- Proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel, to analyze data and build tracking dashboards.
- Familiarity with the Powertrain (PT) business, including ICE and EV components, remanufacturing, and distribution networks (PTD, CPWD, IRF).
- Experience tracking dealer service metrics, such as Repair Order (RO) duration or parts delivery cycles.
- Experience supporting digital transformation tools, such as AI agents, automated reporting dashboards, process playbooks, or business process mapping.
- Familiarity with project planning, issue tracking, or change management processes.
