We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Salesforce Engineer to join our Marketing, Sales & Service IT "Always On" program. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our current Salesforce implementation and our evolving business objectives, proactively identifying areas for optimization, enhancement, and new capability delivery.
As a core member of the team, you will lead and contribute to all phases of the project lifecycle, including discovery, development, delivery, and support. The ideal candidate is a collaborative communicator who is comfortable navigating change management, establishing governance, and prioritizing deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
As a Salesforce Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-quality features, platform optimization, and technical collaboration across teams.
End-to-End Feature Delivery: Independently design, develop, and deliver robust Salesforce features from initial requirement gathering through final deployment.
AI-Driven Efficiency & Innovation: Actively leverage, explore, and advance the adoption of Salesforce AI technologies (e.g., Einstein, Agentforce) and other AI-assisted engineering tools to automate workflows, accelerate development velocity, and improve overall platform efficiency.
Technical Development: Write clean, well-documented, and highly testable programmatic code (Apex classes, triggers, batch, scheduled, and queueable processes) meeting strict platform code coverage standards.
Declarative Configuration: Build and maintain declarative automation solutions utilizing Flows, Validation Rules, and Formula Fields.
Data Modeling & Security: Design and manage database schemas, relationships (lookups, master-detail, junction objects), and platform security architectures (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules).
API & System Integration: Develop and maintain REST and SOAP API integrations utilizing Salesforce standard APIs, Named Credentials, and Platform Events.
DevOps & Deployment: Manage application lifecycles and deployments across sandbox and production environments utilizing Salesforce DX (SFDX), Salesforce CLI, change sets, and Git-based collaborative workflows.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and refine technical requirements. Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Quality Assurance: Participate actively in peer code reviews, applying and providing constructive feedback to continuously improve engineering standards.
Agile Participation: Engage in Agile software development processes, active sprint ceremonies, and backlog management utilizing tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Professional Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce platform development and administration.
Core Salesforce Expertise: Deep technical proficiency in Salesforce Sales Cloud, including data modeling, event ingestion, and programmatic APEX development.
Declarative & Query Languages: Solid command of Salesforce declarative automation tools alongside Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) and Salesforce Object Search Language (SOSL).
Deployment & Version Control: Practical experience with Git-based version control, CI/CD pipeline fundamentals, and release management.
Implementation Track Record: Direct exposure to at least one full Salesforce implementation or major feature release cycle.
Certifications: Minimum of a Salesforce Certified Administrator credential, or equivalent demonstrated platform knowledge.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to collaborate, listen, learn, and lead within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Certifications: Salesforce certifications beyond Administrator (e.g., Platform Developer I, Platform App Builder).
Multi-Cloud Exposure: Hands-on experience with Service Cloud or Experience Cloud beyond basic configuration.
Data & Marketing Cloud: Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP) for unified customer data, as well as Marketing Cloud or Pardot for journey and campaign automation.
Integration Middleware: Familiarity with integration middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Apigee, or equivalent enterprise integration tools.
