Success in this role depends on strong leadership, cross-functional influence, and the ability to drive execution through others in a highly matrixed global environment.

What you'll do...

  • Own Commodity Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute global sourcing strategies aligned to program timing, cost targets, and business objectives, ensuring disciplined execution across sourcing, contracting, and supplier integration.

  • Deliver Business Results: Achieve cost, quality, delivery, and performance targets, including cost reductions and total cost of ownership improvements.

  • Lead Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Program Management to align sourcing strategies with product development and launch milestones, driving alignment across a complex matrix organization

  • Lead Sourcing & Commercial Negotiations: Execute sourcing events and lead complex supplier negotiations, establishing agreements that balance cost, performance, flexibility, and risk

  • Manage Supplier Performance & Risk: Own strategic supplier relationships, including performance management, capacity planning, risk mitigation, and issue resolution to ensure continuity of supply

  • Solve Complex Supply Chain Challenges: Apply structured, data-driven problem-solving to address disruptions, cost pressures, and operational risks, driving sustainable outcomes

  • Drive Continuous Improvement & Market Insight: Lead improvements in sourcing processes and tools while leveraging market intelligence, cost drivers, and industry trends to inform decisions

  • Ensure Compliance: Uphold purchasing policies, ethical sourcing, and sustainability standards.

    You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams, including setting direction, coaching talent, and driving accountability in a matrixed organization

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing, or commodity management within a global or complex manufacturing environment

  • 7+ years of experience owning and executing sourcing or commodity strategies end-to-end, including RFQs, cost analysis, supplier selection, and contract execution

  • 7+ years of experience leading complex supplier negotiations and commercial agreements, balancing cost, risk, and long-term value

  • Proven track record of delivering measurable business results, including cost reductions, cost avoidance, and improvements in quality and delivery performance

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority across Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Program Management

  • Strong capability in structured, data-driven problem solving, with experience resolving supply chain disruptions

  • Experience in supplier performance management and risk mitigation, including capacity planning and issue resolution in a production environment

    Even better, you may have...

  • MBA or Master’s degree in a related field

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or commodity management

  • Experience in automotive or complex manufacturing environments
