1. Manufacturing Process Control

Support Manufacturing Process Engineering activities to ensure stable and efficient operations
Develop and implement action plans to investigate, prioritize, and resolve quality concerns in both internal and supplier processes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process performance
Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and quality procedures
Lead resolution of assembly-related issues and drive variability reduction through lean manufacturing principles and best practices

2. Internal Quality Control

Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to continuously improve manufacturing processes and product quality
Lead problem-solving activities using structured methodologies (8D, 6 Panel, etc.) to implement corrective actions
Review and ensure supplier process compatibility for critical characteristics
Manage incoming quality concerns, including containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation

3. ECN (Engineering Change Notice) Coordination

Monitor and assess engineering changes impacting Paint Shop operations
Communicate and train relevant teams on process and product changes
Ensure effective implementation and validation of all approved changes

4. VRT – Paint Leader

Lead and drive key quality metrics, including external and internal indicators
Ensure compliance with VRT processes and standards
Utilize quality tools (Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA) to resolve issues and improve product quality
Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Develop and execute action plans for quality concerns and verify effectiveness
Maintain process documentation and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Lead resolution of assembly-related issues and support lean manufacturing practices

5. New Model Launch Support

Collaborate with Launch Team to identify and validate all hang-on parts for testing
Coordinate procurement processes (PIR, recap) to obtain sample parts
Ensure completion of PV testing for plastic components
Track, report, and resolve quality issues during launch phase until OK2B approval
Lead color harmony activities during new model launch

6. Dirt in Paint (DIP) Improvement

Analyze, evaluate, and improve Dirt in Paint performance
Apply quality tools (Six Sigma, Fishbone Diagram, Cause & Effect, 8D) to identify root causes and implement improvements

7. Additional Responsibilities

Perform other tasks as assigned by the direct Supervisor or Head of Department

Manage and control manufacturing processes to ensure stable and efficient operations
Oversee internal quality control activities to meet company standards
Coordinate Engineering Change Notices (ECN)
Lead VRT (Vehicle Review Team) activities in the Paint area
Support new model launches and related activities
Drive improvements and issue resolution for Dirt in Paint (DIP) concerns
Perform other tasks as assigned by the direct Supervisor or Head of Department

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
Experience: 1–2 years of technical experience in manufacturing, including troubleshooting and process support
Work Style: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and presentation tools

Quality & Continuous Improvement Expertise

Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills using structured approaches such as 8D and 5 Why analysis
Familiarity with Lean tools including 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
Experience with DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) project methodologies
Understanding of Total Quality Management (TQM) and Kaizen principles

Quality Engineering Tools

Experience with FMEA, PPAP, and Design of Experiments (DOE)
