Engineer II, Occupational Safety

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Physical Security, Fire Prevention, Emergency Response, Executive Protection)
• Proven experience (usually 2+ years) in corporate security management, law enforcement, military, or related fields..
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and management abilities.
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Experience in recommending and implementing security technology, including CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, a control center, and monitoring systems.
• High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and sense of urgency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database applications).
• Excellent verbal, written, communication and time management skills.
• Demonstrated success/results in prior roles including matrix organization.
• Experience in transportation and supply chain security to include knowledge of C-TPAT/OEA requirements.
• Experience in managing security teams.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present monthly location safety status to Regional Security Manager
• Seek feedback and provide continuous improvement development actions
• Manage the administration of 26 hourly security officers, and 7 external security officers assigned to the Global Technology and Business Center in Naucalpan de Juarez, Estado de Mexico
• Coordinate periodic picture audits and implement corrective actions
• 24-hour availability, for response to emergencies or significant incidents, also ensuring timely and accurate reporting and documentation of Security/Fire events
• May perform the role of incident commander for all fire, medical, and safety emergencies
• Assess and collaborate with local authorities for evacuation drills and audits
• Oversee and assist suppliers, contractors and visitors
• Supervise employees to assure compliance with the established standards of physical security, electronic security, fire systems, etc.
• Act as a liaison and assist all employees, client personnel, law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, or other organizations as directed by policy
• Collaborate with Human Resources and People Matters representatives as necessary to discuss/resolve workplace issues
• Work with security systems to provide input for maintenance or installation of security systems equipment (CCTV, access control, etc.)
• Implement updated corporate standard procedures and modifications to corporate requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Valid security guard license/certification as required by state or local regulations.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, surveillance systems (CCTV), access control systems, and emergency response procedures.
• Experience working with or reporting to regulatory/government agencies (e.g., CBP, OSHA) is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear incident reports and documentation.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure, especially during emergencies or security breaches.
• Proficiency with security management software and basic computer applications (MS Office, reporting tools).
• Physical ability to conduct patrols, stand or walk for extended periods, and respond quickly to incidents.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver's license (if patrol vehicle use is required).
• Background check and drug screening clearance required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, depending on facility location.
