In this position...
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) Functional Consultant to play a pivotal role in our multi-year journey of transitioning legacy Service Parts Order Management systems to SAP S/4HANA. This is a critical position where you will be responsible for designing, implementing and optimizing O2C processes, ensuring a seamless and successful rollout across our global enterprise.
Based in Livonia, MI, this is a hybrid position with a required four-day onsite presence each week
What you'll do...
Lead and support SAP SD solutions across the full Order-to-Cash lifecycle (order management, pricing, billing, returns, rebates, intercompany, credit management).
Drive aftersales process design including service parts management, claims, dealer/distributor integration, and logistics execution.
Collaborate with global business stakeholders, cross-functional teams (MM, FICO, WM/EWM, TM), and external System Integrators.
Translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions aligned with global template standards.
Proactively identify risks, process gaps, integration issues, and data inconsistencies; communicate mitigation plans in a timely and structured manner.
Support fit-to-standard workshops, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
Ensure data integrity, process harmonization, and compliance across regions.
Provide production support and continuous improvement recommendations.
Implement and support end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) flows including:
Order management (B2B, dealer, distributor scenarios)
ATP / aATP configuration
Delivery processing and PGI
Intercompany and stock transfer scenarios
Integration with FI-AR
Success Factors
- Strong business acumen in automotive distribution and dealer networks.
- Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to operate in complex, multi-system landscapes.
- Comfortable working in transformation programs and template-driven rollouts.
- Global template rollouts and localization management.
Program & Delivery Expectations
Lead fit-to-standard workshops and document functional specifications (FSDs).
Collaborate with ABAP developers on RICEFW objects.
Support SIT, UAT, regression, and cutover planning.
Proactively identify cross-module dependencies, data risks, and process gaps.
Experience working with large System Integrators in global transformation programs.
Strong change management and stakeholder communication skills.
You'll have...
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Programming or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
8+ years of IT experience, preferably with SAP MM, FICO, SD and similar modules
5 years of SAP SD experience, preferably with automotive aftersales exposure
Even better, you may have…
Master’s Degree
Strong experience with global O2C (order to cash) processes in high-volume, multi-country environments.
Experience working with global teams and large System Integrators.
Strong understanding of integration touchpoints with MM, FICO, and warehouse/logistics systems.
Experience in S/4HANA RISE environment preferred.
Excellent stakeholder communication and issue/risk management skill

This position is a salary grade of 7 or 8 and ranges from $84,480-162,120.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
