About the Role
The Ranger Super Duty Program Analyst will help lead the development of future Ranger Super Duty programs to define new products and continue expanding into new markets. This high‑impact role involves collaborating with multiple stakeholders—markets, finance, and engineering—to shape future growth and maximise value across both new and existing markets.
The successful candidate will help lead program change requests, program timing, and costing to inform the T6 (Ranger & Everest) Cycle Plan. This position reports directly to the Ranger Super Duty Program Management Supervisor and is based in Australia at the International Market Group Product Development Centre in Broadmeadows, Melbourne. The role operates under a hybrid work arrangement, requiring four days in the office or at role‑relevant locations.
Responsibilities
Project Management: Lead all phases from initial design analysis, feasibility studies, and engineering validation to final product sign-off.
Program Change Management & Delivery: Lead the change management of vehicle programs.
Problem Solving & Resolution: Act as a primary Ranger Super Duty resource for identifying, analyzing, and resolving program issues, taking full ownership and driving solutions for challenges that arise during the vehicle program.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the vehicle program.
Cross-functional Leadership: Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, manufacturing, and studio teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of program initiatives, actively pushing for timely completion and successful outcomes.
- GPDS Milestone Leadership: Lead the program through the Global Product Development System (GPDS) gateways, with a heavy focus on the early-stage milestones specifically from Pre Program Start
to Program approval . You will ensure all deliverables are met on time and to Ford’s rigorous quality standards. - PDL & Scope Management: Take full ownership of the Program Description Letter (PDL). You will be responsible for defining the program scope, feature offerings, and complexity reductions, ensuring the product alignment matches the "Super Duty" brand promise of extreme capability (GVM/GCM upgrades).
- Business Case & Entrepreneurial Growth: Act as a mini-CEO for your workstream. You will develop and refine business cases for new features or derivatives, identifying "white space" opportunities in the market (e.g., specialized fleet, mining, or defense) and articulating the ROI to senior leadership.
- Change Management: Lead the Change Request process. You will evaluate the impact of engineering changes on program timing, cost (TPE/TME), and weight, ensuring the T6 Cycle Plan remains optimized. Experience with Change Control is essential.
- Cross-Functional Technical Integration: Work deeply within Ford Engineering releasing systems to track engineering progress. You will bridge the gap between Studio (design) and Engineering to ensure the Super Duty’s unique hardware requirements are integrated without compromising the core T6 architecture.
Strategic Problem Solving: Identify "Red/Yellow" status items in the program dashboard and proactively lead task forces to resolve technical or financial roadblocks before they impact the critical path.
