The Brakes NVH and Structural CAE Engineer provides a profound impact on the program’s success by identifying NVH concerns in the digital phase, prevent costly hardware changes and late-stage program delays, ensuring we meet our design milestones with confidence. Also, through structural optimization, you will help to reduce the vehicle's weight, which is essential for improving the efficiency and dynamics of our vehicles.

1. Conduct finite element analysis and other computer aided analysis to solve technical challenges for Brake systems.

2. Operate meshing software to characterize and build FEA models to perform the analysis.

3. Perform linear static, Nonlinear static, Linear dynamic, Durability, modal, NVH analyses, in Brake components and systems.

4. Offer feasible engineering solutions to design problems based on CAE and test results.

5. Interact with the design teams (D&R (Design & Release), CAD (Computer Assisted Design) and Nosie Champions to achieve the project scope, technical deliverables, timeline, validation plan, cost targets and documentation.

6. Support new programs and Cost reduction initiatives through CAE methods.

7. Optimize processes and designs using Optimization software to provide the best design.

8. Support automation processes by scripting and programing workflows for CAE Analyses

9. Collaborate with physical testing engineers as well as other CAE engineers to develop and improve CAE methods needed to achieve high correlation rate between physical and virtual analysis.

10. Support initiatives and efforts to yield new products using GPDS (Global Product Development System) as a single common product creation process, to reduce time to market, engineering changes, and physical prototype builds.

11. Proactive participation in validation process.

• Engineering degree (Mechanical or Automotive desirable) or related disciplines with coursework in Finite Element Methods. MS degree preferred.

• Strong knowledge of noise and vibrations physics applied to vehicle components and systems.

 • Experience in ANSA, Hyperworks, Abaqus, NASTRAN and/or other commercially available FEA software.

• Professional proficiency with Part and Product design in CATIA V5 / 3DX or similar.

•Work experience in NVH or CAE within the Automotive Industry preferred, but not required.

• Advanced scripting skills using C++, Java, Python or similar.

• Engineering Knowledge of Mechanical & Structural concepts and Analysis: Static and transient analysis, Linear and Nonlinear structural analysis, Dynamic analyses are required.

• Optimization software like modeFrontier or Heeds is desirable.

• UNIX fundaments are preferred but not required.

• Proficiently uses CATIA V5/V6 and similar CAD software (e.g., 3DX, NX, SolidWorks), along with Teamcenter and Vismockup, to efficiently create and manage robust, parametric, and associative Build to Print (B2P) parts.
• Develop high-quality 3D CAD design concepts and alternatives promptly
• Creates and manages assemblies, drawings, motion files, and other related CAD data, as well as the complete vehicle environment with all system interfaces.

• DMAIC/DFSS/Robustness Tools working experience is desirable.

• Demonstrated initiative, drive, project management, and ownership skills.
