In this position...

The person in charge of this role will be part of the Exterior VHM - in the Greenhouse Systems area, within this team, there a MX team that is responsible for different commodities. 

This role supports the vehicle portfolio and operation for North America region, 

Commodities in the team are: Weatherstrips, Window Regulators, Locksets, Strikers and Cables, the person that will join the team will share responsbility of any of these commodities in order to alliviate workload among the team. 

Develop and execute supply base/commodity strategies. Where applicable take lead on Modularity Catalogue

Global Commodity Business Plans, Commodity Segmentation and ESF activity.

· Lead cross-functional teams regarding on-time execution of GPDS (Global Product Development System)

What you'll do:

1. Strategic Planning & Commodity Management

  • Develop and execute global commodity strategies and business plans.
  • Manage commodity segmentation and lead the "Modularity Catalogue" where applicable.

2. Sourcing & Negotiation

  • Lead the GPDS (Global Product Development System) sourcing process and target setting.
  • Conduct complex negotiations to secure the best Job 1 pricing and achieve Year-Over-Year (YOY) cost efficiencies.
  • Manage Sourcing Agreements (SA/SOBA) and commercial packages in alignment with diversity and regional goals.

3. Program & Launch Support

  • Participate in "Teams of 4/5" to deliver purchasing milestones.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) and tool orders for prototypes and production.
  • Provide local launch support, including capacity studies and resolving supply/timing issues (PSW).

4. Supplier Relationship & Risk Management

  • Build strong partnerships using the Supplier Relationship Framework (trust, value-based, and fact-based communication).
  • Manage day-to-day supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and capacity.
  • Lead resourcing actions for distressed suppliers, coordinating cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure supply continuity.

5. Financial & Technical Analysis

  • Utilize analytical tools (Cost Models, Benchmarking, Market Intelligence) to drive value.
  • Lead cost-reduction activities such as TVM (Total Value Management) and CCAT (Commodity Cost Attack Team).

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Supply Chain, Business, Technical or engineering degree, desirable)
  •  0-2 years of experience in manufacturing processes, finance, cost and Project Managment.
  • Advanced English Language skills, if job role entails global responsibility
