Data Analyst – Supply Risk & Automation

Are you a data enthusiast who loves automating repetitive tasks to save time? Do you enjoy querying databases, building reports, and translating raw numbers into actionable insights?

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Supply Risk team. In this role, your main superpower will be managing, extracting, and automating global supplier risk data. No previous purchasing experience is required—we will teach you the procurement context. What we need is your analytical mindset, your basic coding skills, and your comfort level working with financial and business data (no need to be a finance expert, just curious and comfortable with financial metrics!).

You will also play a key role in democratizing knowledge: helping our purchasing teams understand what the data is telling us and how to use it to protect our supply chain.

High volatile supply risk desk. Requires data management as we handle global supplier financial constraints and the impact to Ford.

Always focus on helping others and explain to democratize knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Financials revisions with suppliers and/ or purchasing community
  • Teach purchasing community how to read Supplier´s financials and identify risks
  • Support obtaining purchasing answers regarding long term strategies with underperformance suppliers
  • Support development and implementation of supply base management strategies and action plans based on Financials performance
  • Support and lead compliance for on-going activities (i.e CSS update, iERP / Ariba PO´s)
  • Lead and Support M&A Reporting 
  • Support N-Tier Events escalation
  • Support Sourcing Strategies to suppliers at a minimum financial risk level

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Financial Engineering, Actuarial Science, Business Intelligence, Computer Science (with an interest in Finance).

    Financial Engineering / Financial Technology
  • 2+ years of experience in data-driven roles (such as Data Analyst, Business Intelligence, or Financial/Operations Analyst) performing the following activities:
  • Data & Automation Mindset: Beginner-to-intermediate level in Python (specifically for data manipulation/scripting to save time) and SQL/MySQL (for querying and pulling data).
  • Excel Skills: Strong intermediate level (vlookups, pivot tables, data formatting).
  • Comfortable with Finance: You don’t need a finance degree, but you must be comfortable with financial data (revenue, debt, liquidity metrics) and eager to learn how to read supplier financial health.
  • Communication & Teaching Skills: A natural willingness to help others, explain technical or financial concepts simply, and share knowledge.
  • Quick Learner: Ability to adapt to a highly volatile global environment and learn new systems quickly.

  • Be proficient in English when working with global teams
