What you'll do....
The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Understand daily warranty claim reports by participating in binning meetings and lead to resolution working with a cross functional team and support and maintain warranty analytics system.
- Understand Daily End of Line (EOL) & Customer Acceptance Line (CAL) and First Time Through (FTT) inhibitors related to subsystem and drive containment and corrective action.
- Ensure quality control management updates for subsystem are maintained and adjusted as outcome of External / Internal Indicator. Manage Heat maps for the subsystem to ensure all critical Workstations are identified for improvement opportunities.
- Conduct Control plan audits to ensure frequency, sampling to achieve Process capability on Key Critical Characteristics related to subsystem.
- Own the Quality and the capability of the manufacturing processes within the Assembly department.
- Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to drive continuous improvement to manufacturing processes as per the Ford Production System (FPS).
- Lead development of interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D methodology and structured problem-solving tools.
- Play an integral role in the Launch Quality Operating System initiatives & Launch process by establishing and monitoring quality target levels at the workstation level for each build phase to validate workstations readiness.
- Conduct process audits to ensure process adheres to Vehicle Operations guidelines and specific process standards in line with FPS.
- Act as team leader in resolving assembly related concerns. Lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices.
- Support ISO 14001 compliance and support internal ISO auditing and compliance as required.
- Lead development of solutions for throughput constraints.
- Manage and direct statistical process control activities related to subsystem.
- Review internal/external suppliers for critical characteristic process compatibility.
- Support efficiency planning to ensure workstations are properly set up with quality risks identified and addressed.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering. (Note: Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
Experience
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience in quality or technology.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

- 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem-solving
- Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
- Total Quality Management (TQM) and Kaizen Methods
- Visual Factory Management
- Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Working experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Experience using error proofing systems

This posting is for an existing vacancy within our team.
The expected annual salary range for this position is $74,000 - $124,000 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
