What you'll need
The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Lead, coach, and evaluate a diverse team of supervisors and hourly personnel, fostering a collaborative culture of respect, continuous learning, and recognition.
- Oversee daily assembly line operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management, to meet production targets and SQDCPME objectives.
- Maintain and enforce Global Operating System standards through rigorous inspections, defect management, and the validation of critical inputs.
- Drive Lean manufacturing principles and lead root cause analysis to implement permanent corrective actions for production abnormalities.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance tasks, equipment repairs, and work plans for shutdowns or change management to optimize uptime and effectiveness.
- Manage departmental budgets and material procurement to optimize productivity while preventing shortages or overstocking.
- Enforce health, safety, and regulatory standards to ensure full organizational compliance and a secure work environment.
- Utilize performance data to complete administrative reporting and ensure all departmental documentation aligns with business objectives.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).
Experience
- Minimum (5) five years in manufacturing, supervisory and/or engineering and quality roles.
- Must be able to work all shifts; days, afternoons, midnights.
- Experience working in a supervisory role in a unionized work environment.

Experience
- Senior Production Supervisor/Senior Process Coach experience.
- 6-sigma Designation.
- Ability to effectively interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant management.
- Adept Presentation skills.
- Effective analytical skills and quick decision making capability preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Competent in the use of data for decision making.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems.
- Work well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessary.
- Ability to work and multi-task in fast paced environment.
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.
