IA Finance Analyst Sr

Job Summary: We are seeking an innovative and analytical Finance Analyst Sr for optimizing financial processes through the strategic application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced data analytics. This role is crucial for enhancing decision-making, driving efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our finance department. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial acumen with a passion for technology and a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Oversight & Reporting: Understand daily financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end closing processes
• Innovation & Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to innovate and automate financial processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial management, and propose and implement improvements to enhance financial processes and controls.
• AI & Machine Learning Application:
  • Develop and implement AI/ML models for enhanced financial forecasting, risk assessment, fraud detection, and predictive analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions that optimize financial workflows and generate valuable business insights.
  • Utilize AI to automate routine tasks, allowing the team to focus on strategic analysis and value creation.
• Data Analytics & Insight Generation:
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across financial systems, establishing robust data governance practices.
  • Lead the use of data analytics tools and techniques to extract meaningful insights from large financial datasets, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for growth.
  • Design and implement advanced analytics dashboards and visualizations to provide instant insights into financial performance for senior management.
• Strategic Partnership: Provide data-driven recommendations to senior management, supporting strategic planning and decision-making across the organization.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, operations, and other business units to align financial strategies with overall company objectives and facilitate the adoption of new technologies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated experience with AI/Machine Learning concepts and their practical application in finance, such as predictive modeling, natural language processing, or automation.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and data visualization platforms (e.g. Power BI).
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw accurate conclusions.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree (MBA, MS in Data Science, AI, or a related field) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, AI/ML certifications).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for data storage, processing, and AI model deployment.
• Familiarity with financial ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Tools that are desirable: Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate), Office 365, SharePoint, Dataverse, Python, GCP, LLMs
• Proven track record of driving innovative projects from conception to implementation.
