In this pivotal role, you'll guide our Build To Print Suppliers through complex failure investigations, analyze data patterns, and implement permanent solutions. Your expertise will directly impact vehicle quality by driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into future designs. By bridging the gap between current performance and future innovation, you'll help Ford deliver the exceptional quality our customers expect while shaping the electronic systems of tomorrow.

What you'll do...

  • Responsible for performing RCA on warranty and quality rejects

  • Review warranty and quality issues, driving the supplier to root cause and corrective actions to prevent recurrence

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including design and manufacturing to ensure a closed loop feedback system

  • Report key supplier metrics tied to warranty and quality rejects

  • Travel to suppliers' factories as needed

You'll have...

  • 5+ years of Electrical and/or Product Engineering experience in a high-volume electronics manufacturing facility

Even better, you may have...

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum 3-year college diploma) or a related field of study

  • 10+ years of Electrical and/or Product Engineering experience in a high-volume electronics manufacturing facility

  • Experience with 5D/8D and various RCCA methods

  • Excellent hardware and software debugging skills(Hands on and Remote)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Detailed understanding of various technologies such as CAN, Automotive Ethernet, Audio, Displays and Cameras, Cellular/WiFi/BT RF

  • Knowledge of chip programming and software download into electronic modules

  • Knowledge of SMT processes

  • Experience with Jira

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage

  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
