What you'll do...
The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Manage and monitor AMR fleet management system.
- Lead the commissioning, and launch of AMR systems for in-plant material flow.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Controls, IT, Safety, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering) to plan and integrate AMR/AGV systems into facility operations.
- Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance AMR throughput, uptime, fleet behavior, and system robustness.
- Lead/Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, readiness evaluations, and commissioning processes.
- Troubleshoot system communication issues in conjunction with maintenance team.
- Work with production operators, teams, and Material Handling to improve workstation material delivery and presentation.
- Work with SMART SMF Coordinator to ensure proper system setup.
- Audit AMR performance.
You'll have...
Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, mechatronics, material flow or a related field. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
Experience
Experience working with material flow and deploying automation or robotics systems in a manufacturing environment
Experience with industrial robotics, AMR/AGV platforms, PLC communications.

Master's degree in engineering, technology, mechatronics, material flow or a related field.
Experience
2-5 years of experience working with material flow and deploying automation or robotics systems in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to AMR/AGV technologies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.

The expected annual salary range for this Ford of Canada position is $63,000.00- $107,000.00 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
