“My internship at Ford of Canada can be described in three words: trust, opportunity, and respect. From day one, I was immersed in the fast-paced automotive industry and provided with the necessary tools to learn quickly. As an intern, my ideas, insights, and project outcomes were welcomed, and I was treated as an equal member of the team.

Ford of Canada's executive leaders demonstrated a strong commitment to recognizing emerging talent and were genuinely motivated to support my journey.

Overall, my internship at Ford was an invaluable experience that taught me the importance of respect, collaboration, teamwork, and dedication to excellence within a large organization. I learned how the collective actions of individuals can have an immense impact on the lives of customers, employees, and communities in Canada, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of it.”

“My Ford internship taught me what it means to be an engineer. Moving through the design process from start to finish and taking ownership of a project opened the door to on-the-job trials, tribulations, and successes. The tasks I was completing as a member of the Manufacturing Hardware Team served as a model for true engineering work: Identifying the issue, hypothesizing, testing, and improving.

Beyond the technical growth, the company culture was outstanding. Never have I worked with teams who had such an incredible blend of rapport and efficiency. Whether it was during the onboarding process, team meetings, or lunchtime discussion, you could feel the harmony that underscores Ford’s success.

But if there was only one thing I could say, it’s that Ford cares about its interns. There are opportunities, mentors, and resources so that students can shape their own experiences, and of course the support and amiability from other interns adds to the great atmosphere. Overall, a phenomenal internship experience.”

“As someone who as always been passionate about the automotive industry, working at Ford has been an amazing experience that has left me feeling very inspired. Throughout my summer internship I had the opportunity to join the Vehicle Lines Marketing team and work on projects in marketing communications, connected services, Model e, and parts and service. I improved my critical thinking, analysis, and presentation skills throughout my term.

Internships at Ford help bridge the knowing-doing gap as you work with leaders and experts to strengthen and apply your skills. I am very thankful for an incredible summer and my amazing team who empowered and encouraged me to learn and participate in everything. These included the intern ride and drive, a plant tour, town halls, and the softball tournament. Everyone was so supportive! My internship flew by, and I hope to return in the future!”
