In this position...

Ford Racing Vehicle Integration Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing all Vehicle Engineering (VE) activities related to prototype vehicle development, test operations, and program launch for future Ford Racing products. This role supervises a team of engineers to ensure flawless execution of development, durability, media, and validation activities while maintaining an intense focus on customer-driven performance attributes and emotional vehicle experiences.

The supervisor ensures that test vehicles are fit-for-purpose, requirements are cascaded and validated, and cross-functional teams operate efficiently to deliver world-class Ford Racing products on time, with quality, and with emotional impact.

This role is hybrid and requires at least 4 days per week onsite in Allen Park, MI.

What you'll do...

Team Leadership & Program Execution

  • Lead vehicle development, integration, and launch activities for Ford Racing production programs.
  • Direct VE team deliverables to remove barriers and enable focused engineering execution.
  • Deliver all engineering gateways and milestones on time with quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Design Validation efficiency and execution discipline.

Attribute Delivery & System Integration

  • Own vehicle-level attribute delivery, ensuring balanced performance across all systems.
  • Translate customer insights into clear vehicle requirements and cascade them into objective system-level targets.
  • Lead cross-functional integration across design, hardware, software, energy management, and features teams.
  • Drive technical tradeoff decisions to protect total vehicle performance and preserve intended “wow” moments.
  • Confirm that system deviations and updates continue to meet vehicle-level targets through production and variants.

Vehicle Readiness & Test Leadership

  • Ensure vehicles are “Fit for Test” with clear hardware/software maturity tracking.
  • Lead race track and/or off-road durability testing with full accountability for safety, logistics, cost, and execution quality.
  • Maintain FEDE accuracy and test plan integrity while enabling efficient, value-focused testing.
  • Oversee media vehicle preparation and execution to ensure flawless external performance.

Documentation & Stakeholder Excellence

  • Oversee attribute documentation, maturity tracking, and program transparency.
  • Establish the team as a trusted “go-to” resource, delivering proactive support and exceptional internal and external customer experiences.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Min 8-10 years of vehicle-level automotive product development experience across multiple attributes.

Even better, you may have...

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in solving complex technical problems while building strong working relationships.
  • Proven delivery of full automotive product development cycles (concept through launch).
  • Strong understanding of performance vehicle customers, including passion points, pain points, and expectations.
  • Broad knowledge of primary automotive systems and vehicle attribute delivery experience.
  • Experience with software development processes, over-the-air updates, and feature delivery.
  • Working knowledge of customer insight tools and processes.
  • Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, and accountability.
  • Passion for performance vehicles a plus.
