The Bill of Material (BOM) Analyst is a critical role responsible for the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of Bills of Material for new product launches and ongoing product changes. This position plays a pivotal part in ensuring product data integrity throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life. The BOM Analyst will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and accurate BOMs, and will actively work on process optimization and improvement initiatives to ensure effective resource utilization and maximum system efficiency. This role directly contributes to streamlined manufacturing, cost control, and the delivery of high-quality products.

1. BOM Management: Create, maintain, and analyze Bills of Materials in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This includes ensuring all components, Product hierarchy/structure, and specifications are accurately documented and updated.
2. Structure Development: Develop and maintain comprehensive BOMs that detail components, materials, assemblies, and sub-assemblies, including phantom BOMs and modular BOMs, as required by product complexity.
3. Data Accuracy and Compliance: Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of information within systems, performing verification of launch BOM accuracy, and establishingBOM review process for pre-production builds. Ensure compliance with company standards and process guidelines.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, Purchasing, production, and supply chain teams to track changes, resolve discrepancies, and optimize BOM coding. 
5. Lead BOM review meetings with cross-functional teams for resolution of open issues and participate in engineering change and launch reviews.
6. Change Management: Manage engineering change orders and update BOMs accordingly. Assist in coordinating engineering/process changes and minimizing obsolete materials.
7. Inventory and Material Optimization: Support engineering and inventory control by leading efforts to maintain and improve inventory accuracy. 
8. Support Cost reduction initiatives - Identify cost-saving opportunities through BOM data analysis.
9. System and Process Improvement: Work closely with IT and system administrators to suggest enhancements to PLM/ERP systems to improve BOM data management, reporting, and user experience.
10. Best Practices: Research and implement industry best practices for BOM management, configuration control, and product data governance to drive continuous improvement.
11. New Product IntroductionSupport: Support new product introductions by developing initial BOMs, BOM scrubbing , validation process etc.
12. Training and Guidance: Develop a deep understanding of systems and processes, providing direction and training to colleagues.

Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline,supply chain management or business administration, ispreferred.
• Experience: Typically 0-5+ years of experience in BOM management, inventory management, or a related data field, particularly within the automotive industry.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in PLM and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Windchill) is crucial. Familiarity with data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel, Business Objects, and Access is also beneficial.
• Analytical Abilities: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and complex data.
•Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills are required to interact effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Other: Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, experience with change management processes, and a proactive, results-driven minds
