The In-Plant Implementation team which is under Mfg. IT IPI is responsible for deploying any applications/Factory of Tomorrow(FoT) use cases that are required at plant floor in any Ford or JV plant. The Web / AI developer cum Implementation specialist role is to be a SPOC for a particular plant and fulfil the Application needs for the Prod & Non-Prod requirements that the plant has. The person also required to develop web / AI applications required for IIOT Use cases development and support. This resource as a Web / AI developer cum Implementation specialist with PDO Plant Floor Services product line will focus on a particular market's project deployment, Factory Modernization Use cases development and support.

Operational Responsibilities include:- 

  • Interact with various stakeholders (Customers, Vendors) to get a detailed insight into solution requirement
  • Manage people, process within the agreed upon framework to execute projects-
  • Develop products/solutions based on latest technology trends / AI technologies
  • Handle the issues arising at the client site and providing necessary customer support during Production trials (TT & PP until Job1)
  • Identify issues in existing processes of client and recommend new technology based cost effective innovative solutions to increase efficiency
  • Perform independently on all assignments with minimum technical / administrative instructions
  • Planning , developing , coordinating , and directing a large and important project or a number of small projects with many complex features

  • Increased knowledge in Ford's Plant Controls & Networking Architectures
  • Better understanding of Control standards & PLC Programming standard followed globally
  • Increased awareness on Ford's Production planning & how planning is distributed until shop floor devices
  • Increased visibility with high level management within MFG IT and business stakeholders

Education Qualification 

  • Preferably a B.E degree or equivalent in Computer science or Manufacturing 
  • No. of Years of Experience 5 or more years of solid experience in a related field Professional Exposure

Technical Skills 

  • Preferred previous experiences
  • Proven work history in a multinational company. 
  • Full-Stack Development Expertise: Proven experience building secure, scalable, and high-performance enterprise applications using Java / Spring Boot for backend microservices and Angular (TypeScript) for responsive, modern frontends. 
  • Cloud & DevOps Proficiency (GCP): Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using CI/CD pipelines
  • AI/ML & Data Engineering Foundation: Strong conceptual understanding of AI/ML workflows (e.g., predictive maintenance, computer vision, or anomaly detection) and experience working with Python, data pipelines, or ML platforms. Specialized experience in Computer Vision (for defect detection/quality inspection) or Time-Series forecasting (for predictive maintenance) is highly required.
  • AI Integration & System Architecture: Expertise in containerizing applications and ML models using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE), and integrating AI model inference endpoints (REST, gRPC, or WebSockets) seamlessly into Spring Boot backend architectures.
  • Database & API Design: Strong proficiency in designing, optimizing, and securing relational databases (Cloud SQL, Big Query), alongside a deep understanding of RESTful API design and integration. 
  • Smart Manufacturing Domain & Problem Solving: Ability to translate physical manufacturing challenges (e.g., equipment downtime, yield optimization) into concrete mathematical/AI problems, collaborating directly with OT (Operational Technology) teams and plant engineers.
  • Capable of leading adhoc teams as needed 
  • Able to deliver results in a geographically and culturally diverse team of peers and managers
